but in many ways, strasburg is stuck in the 1950s. where else:
- do new residents have to go to town hall to open a water/sewer/trash account?
- has poorer communications between town government and its citizens?
- has a riverwalk with basic safety, security and maintenance issues?
- has only one grocery store?
- has fewer good restaurants?
- has worse cable tv?
- are more businesses closing?
- has a mayor charged with DUI and food stamp fraud?
- has a less effective town government?
strasburg underground is where citizens and friends of strasburg can vent AND suggest ways for improving strasburg for its citizens and visitors. we want to make strasburg a better place:
- a modern, attractive, vibrant community
- a safe place to enjoy the great outdoors
- a great place for tourists and visitors
- a place with more amenities for its citizens and visitors than antique stores
- a great place for business
- a place where communications between town government and its citizens is real time and free-flowing
