fat chance

"He (John Good, treasurer for Shockey Management Company) said the team is working closely with local officials and expects the property’s future use will align with county and town development goals.

“We work very well with local agencies and elected officials,” Good said. “Often, if they’re excited, we’re excited.”

I'll bet he is! One can't say the same for his neighbors.

What will the town do to protect neighbors from the 24/7 noise that will come from this site? If the past is any indication, then the town will do nothing.

The town of strasburg, shenandoah county, and the commonwealth of Virginia have a noise ordinance. It states:

"1. Noise Levels: Virginia’s Noise Ordinance establishes permissible noise levels for various types of activities, such as residential, commercial, and industrial. These levels are measured in decibels (dB) and may vary depending on the time of day and location.

2. Quiet Hours: To ensure a peaceful environment during designated hours, most jurisdictions have established quiet hours. These are typically enforced during nighttime hours, such as 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM."

Will the town enforce the noise ordinance? will the county? will the commonwealth?
